About the Author


Svet Rouskov graduated from the University of Toronto Mechanical Engineering program and became a successful automotive industry executive. His real passion, however, was writing.
After taking an introductory screenwriting class at the University of Toronto, Svet continued his screenwriting education at Norman Jewison’s Canadian Film Centre.
Highlights include; winning the Expo Screenwriting Competition sci-fi prize, selection to the Toronto International Film Festival Talent Lab, executive producer of the Shaftesbury feature Darken (and writer of the Darken: Before the Dark series for Shaftesbury), writer of the feature The Colony, writer of the feature The Resurrection of Tony Gitone, writer of the award-winning CFC film, Silent Cargo, amongst others.
Most recently Svet worked with Bristow Global Media and Cineflix on scripted television series, was the writer of Wrest – a VR video game for Shaftesbury (launched on Steam), was the writer and Executive Producer of the feature Spare Parts by Raven Banner and is currently in development with BBC on the historical drama television series Lady Macbeth.
Svet finds himself working on film and television projects in Toronto, Los Angeles, London and New York and is represented by The Characters Talent Agency in Toronto and Original Artists in Los Angeles. His passion for writing has now extended to literature, which offers him another exciting avenue to tell stories. ANTITHESIS is Svet’s first work of fiction.
